BCL have over 50 years worth of experience in the design, manufacture and installation of secret-fixing panel systems for large commercial projects and have been at the heart of some of the most forward thinking and technically demanding modern commercial projects in timber.
This means we are able to consult on technical detailing, species selection, value engineering – every area of the design & specification process, giving our customers the confidence that comes with working with a major supplier.
A history of Excellence & Innovation
Barrett Ceilings was established in 1973, carrying out suspended ceilings, partitioning & dry-lining work for a wide range of clients across a number of areas in the UK construction market, including retail, industrial, commercial and education.
Following the successful completion of several prestigious timber projects since 1997, including the Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Club – AELTCC, South Bank University and the award-winning Hampden Gurney School – the decision was taken to establish a dedicated presence in this market by the formation of BCL TIMBER PROJECTS Ltd. The expertise gained in this highly specialised field, combining traditional carpentry standards with unique, practical systems & techniques to solve individual project design challenges, has led to strong growth in recent years.

Design
BCL’s professional in-house design team provide the depth required to undertake bespoke panel designs, provide detail design support for architects and supply full panel layout, detail and manufacturing drawings with every BCL system.
Manufacture
BCL’s manufacturing is carried out in a modern factory environment under a comprehensive QA framework and has the capacity to take on very large systems production. As an ISO 9001 approved company, every area of the construction process is monitored and consistently reviewed.
Installation
BCL provide a full installation service for all of their timber panel systems, carried out by teams of certified fixers right across the UK. BCL also have the capacity to provide systems for projects in Europe, Asia & Gulf regions.
