Sweet Chestnut

Vertical Cladding

This new-build headquarters, home of the Department for Environment Food & Rural Affairs, was the first delivered project within the masterplan for Stoneleigh Park, an Agri-Science Park in Warwickshire, designed by Consarc Architects. The building took inspiration from its rural location and the intended occupants of the building as a contemporary interpretation of an agricultural ‘barn’, featuring a blockwork base and high-level vertical timber cladding panels.

BCL’s timber slat panel system was manufactured using sustainably sourced Sweet Chestnut with feature fins extending over the lower level brickwork.
