Fixing Options for Wooden Ceilings
We have several different suspension grids for INTERNAL WOOD SLAT CEILINGS, depending on your layout and design preferences.
CD-1 Concealed Demountable
BCL timber slatted ceiling panels 'lay-in' to a concealed Aluminium sub-grid, which uses solid wood slat fascias to hide suspension points for each BCL timber ceiling panel. This fully demountable wood ceiling grid is ideal for low level flat areas that may require regular access to service void above panels.

CS-1 Concealed Semi-Fixed
BCL wooden slat ceiling panels are screwed up to the underside of a fully concealed Aluminium sub-grid, offering increased security. This system is ideal for high level, banked or wooden ceiling areas that are exposed to wind-loading. All timber panels can still be mechnically unscrewed and demounted by maintenance staff.

CF-1 Concealed Fixed
BCL wooden slat ceiling panels are hung onto a tubular Aluminium sub-grid using proprietary BCL 'panel clips'. This systems is usually reserved for curved timber slat ceiling areas, allowing for the easy creation of complex geometry and double curves in the grid surface for BCL ceiling panels to then clip and fasten to.

Timber Species For Wooden Ceilings
Internal wood ceilings that are fully enclosed typically do not have any durability requirements and can use any species of any rating.

Timber Slat Sizes For Wood Slat Ceilings
Choose the slat size for your timber ceiling from any of our standard dimensions 19, 25, 44, 69, 94, 119 & 144mm in any combination (Note max limits exist for each species)
We have a standard range of acoustic timber profiles to choose from, or you have the flexibility to even create your own to bring a unique look for your BCL acoustic wood ceiling.

Fire Performance of Wood Ceilings
BCL perform full systems fire testing to EN13501-1 on our timber slatted ceilings, in line with Approved Document B regulation for composite lining systems.
Our solid timber slat ceiling panels are typically pressure treated with non-hazardous (zero biocide) fire retardent to acheive either Euroclass B or C wooden ceilings.
Non-combustible ceilings and fire resistant faux wood can be provided to acheive Reaciton to Fire classes (A1 and A2) using our Aluminium 'Timber Effect' range.

Wooden Ceilings Acoustic Performance
BCL Acoustic Timber Ceiling panels achieve the very highest acoustic performance, right up to top of Class A acoustic performance band (αw = 1.00)
The larger the open area (gap between slats) the greater the acoustic performance. You can decide your gap based on performance or simply what you would like to see.

Fabrics For Your Wood Slat Ceilings
We offer a wide range of technical fabrics to work with your internal timber ceiling system, hiding any grid or acoustic insulation layers.
Choose from our range of specially designed anti-viral polyester fibres, utililsing silver ion technology to provide lasting INFECTION CONTROL - ideal for acoustic wooden ceilings to large scale commercials, high use public buildings and Healthcare projects.
