What is the minimumm order & Lead-in for BCL panel systems?
Full bespoke panel systems (full BIM design, flexible panel sizes, integrated services, installation service) –> minimum order is 250sqm + 10-12 week lead-in.
STOCK (off the shelf) panels (no design, limited panel sizes, no installation) –> minimum order is 18sqm + 3-5 weeks lead-in
Are your panels fully fire tested to EN13501-1? What is the fire performance?
Yes, our panels are fire tested in their ‘full assembly’ (not individual components, or 3rd party claims).
They are tested in full accordance with EN13501-1 in UKAS accredited labs (UK based) only.
Solid wood slatted panels are classified up to Class B-s2,d0 Aluminium TIMBER EFFECT panels are classified up to A2-s2,d0 (internal / acoustic) and up to A1 for external cladding.
What design options / range do your offer for your panels?
With our full panel system you can create any design or panel configuration, choosing from over 30+ timber species, 40+ fabric colours & multiple slat sizes and coatings to create unique designs in timber, tailored to your specific design & performance requirements.
STOCK panels (for small areas) have more limited design options.
What is included with your panels? Do I need additional grid or fixings?
All supporting grid is included with our panel systems for walls & ceilings (fixed and fully demountable grid options). For ‘supply only’ ceilings, top-hanger fixings are not provided.
What acoustic performance do your panels achieve?
Up to Class A acoustic performance (ISO 11654) – the larger the ‘gaps’ between slats, the better the acoustic performance. For more info, please contacts us to discuss your project.
Do you offer installation?
Yes, however only on major commercial projects, typically above 500sqm in size. Please contact Us to discuss your requirments further
Do you offer bomb-blast or high security panel systems for special projects?
Yes, our panel systems can come with increased ‘safety tethering’ & have been fully blast-assessed, complying with both ASIAD (UK Airports) & SIDOS (High Security) project areas.
Can your panels be used in swimming pools or very high moisture conditions?
Yes, our panels can be used in higher moisture conditions or swimming pool areas, including erosion resistant grids (all PPC Aluminum & ‘marine grade’ stainless steel).
What is the maximum slat size I can use or specify?
This varies between timber species, but typically for solid wood the maximum is 144x44mm (Ex. 150x50mm). If using our Aluminium ‘TIMBER EFFECT’ or a laminated glu-lam beam, then much larger sizes can be achieved.
What is the maximum panel size you can create?
Maximum panel sizes can vary depending on your configuration, but typically 600x3500mm or 20Kg limit for a single panel.
Can you offer plain/veneered MDF panels?
Yes, however only in addition to a BCL slatted panel system (min order of 250sqm applies).
