Timber Species for Wooden Panels
Wood species available for BCL timber panel systems are sourced from well managed fully certified forests around the world and BCL are fully FSC, PEFC & GiB certified - meaning we provide full 'chain-of-custody' compliance for every slatted panel system we manufacture.
Fire Performance of BCL Timber Panels
Our wood panels are full systems fire tested in accordance with EN13501-1 by UKAS accrediated lab partners, ensuring full compliance with Approved Document B and fire strategy requirements for large buildings. Whether for external timber panels or acoustic wood panelling, BCL can offer both pre-tested slatted panels & project specific testing for all systems.
For fireproof cladding and other fire resistant wood requirements we have a range of fully non-combustible faux wood options with the BCL Aluminium TIMBER EFFECT range.
High Performance Acoustic Timber Panels
BCL timber slat panels are fully acoustic tested in UKAS labs to ISO 11654 and can acheive the highest Class A acoustic performance possible, with weighted absoprtion coefficients αw = 1.00. Our acoustic timber panels allow Architects and designers to deliver beautiful timber wall panels or wood ceilings for major projects with complete acoustic performance control, designing spaces that meet even the most complex and demanding acoustic targets.
