Project: The London Ark, Hammersmith, W6

Profile:
Barrett Ceilings Ltd undertook the detailed Computer Aided Design in conjunction with Lennart Bergstrom and Ake Larson, to produce a totally unique functional ceiling system. This included a special slatted Aluminium ceiling to 11,000 m2 of offices with 2000 m2 of Oregon Pine slatted panels forming a sloping perimeter margin to both the outside of the building and the atrium. Within the atrium stands a small tower building, in which other special metal and timber ceilings are also installed. Cooling provided by chilled beams concealed within the ceiling void.
